Ex-participants’ seminars are now at their peak

Before the Novruz festive season, the most ex-participants of the training “Project formulation and Policy Evaluation” held in Japan from Feb.3 to Feb.20, are actively engaging in holding seminars in each ministry from last week.

The objective of the ex-participants’ seminars is to hand over what they learned in Japan in a brief way for promoting monitoring and evaluation in all the ministries and government institutions.

On Friday, March 10 in the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Umarzoda Forhodi held his seminar titled “Evaluation of programs: determination, purpose, process and main principles” In this seminar, he was talking about the important points and moments of monitoring/evaluation and indicators he learned in Japan. In order to make participants clearly understand about indicator determination and data collection plan he posed a question about stock indicators and flow indicators and asked if it is possible to compare these two indicators for evaluation. Many participants reacted to this question and it led to a good discussion thereafter. At the end of the seminar the evaluation issues of “State program for the development of new irrigated land and the restoration of land disposed of from agricultural use in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2022-2027” are considered by participants.

For the whole schedule of the ex-participants’ seminar, please see the attached list.
