The main goal of accelerated industrialization of the country is considered to be the formation of a developed and competitive national industry and, on its basis, a qualitative increase in the level of the entire national economy and the well-being of the people of the country. The adopted goal plays a decisive role in reducing the country's dependence on imports of essential goods, providing various industries with modern equipment, strengthening export capacities and ensuring the diversification of domestic production.

It was noted with satisfaction that the volume of industrial production increased from 16.9 billion somoni in 2015 to 46.8 billion somoni in 2023, which is almost 3 times more. At the same time, the share of the industry in the GDP structure increased from 12.3% in 2015 to 16.2% in 2023. It was also noted that 3,453 industrial enterprises were registered in the republic in 2023, which is 1,454 (1999) more than in 2017.

During the meeting, the Voluntary Local Review of Dushanbe identified and discussed the runic principles of the program for accelerated industrialization of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020-2025, the Action Plan for the implementation and the main indicators for monitoring and evaluating the NBR for 2021-2025, as well as an assessment of the issues of accelerated industrialization of the country and export diversification. During the meeting, it was noted that the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan is responsible for the implementation of 36 action plans and 22 key indicators for monitoring and evaluating the NBR for 2021-2025, and it is necessary to expand cooperation with all relevant parties and take practical measures to ensure their effective and timely implementation.
